HAPPY B DAY TO MEEEEEEEEEEEE!

As we say goodbye to January, we had some good times this month! We started off by ringing in a new year and it was also my B Day on the 21st! Sooooooooooooo............January was a grrrrrrrrrreat month! Thnx for everyone who came out for the festivities! BIG RESPECT for Sandra from CHUM fm for scoring me some free drinks and playing my requests at C LOUNGE!

JUSTICE FOR TAMILS! STOP THE WAR!

On Thursday January 29th, 2009 Hundreds of members from the Tamil and non-Tamil community united outside the U.S Congress to protest the ungoing Sri Lankan civil war. The war first started in the late 70's and is still battleing. The war between the majority Singalese government and minority Tamil Tigers rebell group has killed over thousands of innocent families! International, UNO's and Government support needs to take immediate action! The next day, the worlds largest human chain took place near union station as even more protestors hit the streets of downtown, T.O. There was an estimated of 10 000 people who showed up with anti- war signs and high spirits of hope to put a halt to the war. No one is gonna sit down and watch the crisis overseas. We need to react and take action NOW!

What Happend to those BOYS?

Virginia hip-hop dynamic duo and blood bros Clipse, stopped by night club Circa in Toronto earlier this month to promote their third times a charm new album, Till The Casket Drops. They hit up some new tracks off the album like, Addiction and Numb it Down. The boys went through a lot of record label problems in the past and are finally with Columbia Records. Nevertheless, they are back with new stuff on this latest album with the help of big music heads such as, DJ Khalil, Swiss Beatz, Kanye West, Scott Storch, Diddy, of course the NEPTUNES and many more! It took forever for the Clipse to get on stage! I ran into Pusha-T and had to ask him when they were gonna go on? He said to give him 10 minutes. Malice and Pusha-T performed classic hits like Mr. Me Too, Grindin, Cot Damn, What Happend to That BOY, Keys Open Doors, Set it Off, which features our home boy Kardi(he was not there) and many more! I was watching the boys from the VIP section but I just had to go on stage to see them up closer, and so I did! They were heated and dope on stage! Big Ups to the beautiful songstress Tika Simone, who was ever so sweet to me. Others that came to see the Clipse included Tania from E TALK and Raptors, Chris BOSH!

A Worthy Cause

In case you didn't know, there is an ungoing Civil War in Sri Lanka. Everyday thousands of innocent people die, civilians and sometimes tourists. It is just not safe there anymore. Many live in fear and some die in shock because of the shells, bombs and attacks. Let's just pray for peace to return to the Tamil people of Sri Lanka because it was once considered the beautiful Pearl island. Sri Lanka is well know for it's breath taking mountains, friendly people, exotic and spicy food and remarkable landscapes. Of course the best school in Canada is doing something to show support.

LEARN TO FLY!

For all those skeptics who are afraid to fly, the headline making story of the US Airways Flight 1549 plane crash into the Hudson River near Manhattan might make you hold on to your phobia of flying. Nevertheless, miraculously ALL 155 people on board survived. NOW, all 155 flyers are getting compensation of $5000 for lost items! I would be happy just to be alive but hey I guess that's a bonus. US Airways Flight 1549 had just departed from LaGuardia Airport in New York City and was headed to Charlotte, N.C., when the pilot reported a "double bird strike". EEEESH

What a way to start the New Year! On Tuesday January 20 09 Americans have elected a NEW YOUNG PRESIDENT! And he's not just any man! For the first time in U.S history Martin Luthar Kings and many other ethno racial citizins dreams have come true! The world welcomed the FIRST everrrrrrr African American man as their 44th U.S President. Barack Obama gave a great speech but will he be able to hadnle and change the face of the current state of the country. Especially with the economic recession downfall and numerous job losses, health crisis and wars? With hope, trust belief and strong alliances, anyone can fight the toughest challenges in life. Sooooooooooooooo many people world wide went to the inaugeration! Obama has made an impact already in the lives of people in his fathers country of Kenya. Parents are naming their children Michelle and Obama. AHAHHA of course Michele is a great name! Did you know? That in his teenage years like most teenagers, Obama experimented with boozing, weed and COCAINE!!

Anyways, the best part at the inaugeration was when Obama finished his speech and his eldest daughter told her dad he did a great job! Speaking of Obama's children,Sasha and Malia Ann, Billy Rae Cyrus confirmed that Obama's two daughters will appear on the hit tween show Hannah Montana! Every childs dream.............I guess. Obama is already at work fighting some tough issues. Also, in a bitter sweet end, Hilary Clinton is declared Secretary of State
Maybe there will someday be the first female President or Prime Minister!

CANADAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Did you learn a lesson from any of this? We are a multicultural country and how do we show it? Let's get an ethnic Prime Minister or female Prime Minister shall we??????????????????????? Don't just sit back and watch liek we always do...REACT!
