As the summer comes to an end the summer's hottest show of 2009 was ROCK THE BELLS!
Rock the Bells rang into Toronto this year at The Molson Amp on Sunday July 5th! I got a chance to be on stage and view the hottest hip hop show of the summer, which included hip hop heavy weights such as, BIG BOI, NAS(who's EX baby mama singer Kelis gave birth to a baby boy recently). Nas also came out and performed with DAMION MARLEY, who is the son of late Bob Marley. Other hip hope heavy weights included, Big Boi, RAP pioneers EMPD(who asked me for mints before they went on stage),Supernatural,Slaughter House featuring Joe Budden and Royce 5'9, Tech 9 and buddy Kris Kaliko,Krs One(who gave a big shout to our fave female rapper in the T.O Michie Mee. When KRS-One called out her name, she quickly ran onto the stage and gave a big shout out to all the hoods in the GTA! K'naan who was also there performed one of my faves 'ABC'S', brought most his family there. Fame,RZA,and Mos Def who flew from Europe to replace Common. Fame gave us the tour as I was his WIFEY for the night and my friend was our child. At the show, I bumped into section 6 rapper BISHOP, who was checking out the show and chatting it up with me. As usual the Bells were Rocked!

However, due to the city strike there will not be fireworks at certain traditional locations such as, ash bridges bay and mel lastman square.

You can join however celebrate at other locations around your neibourhood and Queens Park where festivities will take place until 5p.m.

MMVA DRAAAAAAAAAAAAMA!

This years MMVA's was the most memorable to me because it was the After Party that had the most attention which, make it the, CRAZIEST MOFO SHOWDOWN, FO SHOOOOOOO! i AM on Team WILL I AM! This is how the fight went down. Will I am of the Black Eyed Peas, Perez, Lady Gaga and many of the other celebs wentclub hopping in T.O club district. I was partying inside as I saw some Girlicious girls, exiting Cobra night club. Caught on video footage Will I Am and Perez were both outside of the club going at it. Will I am told Perez not to bash Fergie Ferg. The fight was also taken in the infamous photo above courtesy of canadian bloggers Chris Corsine and David Roberts who are frequent guests on MTV's The After Show. Perez called Will I Am a terrible word and Will I Am's hommie had his back by giving Perez some hits. Perez complained by tweeting away on his Twitter page. MMVA 2009

The BIGGEST street partay took place on June 22, 2009. The 2009 MMVA'S took place on a sunny day and it was A show down! One of the best of the year. Every year the MMVA'S got some kinda drama going on behind the scenes and this year was no exception! We'll get to that in a second....there was much anticipation for this years show because fans camped out for days. Why you ask? Perhaps, it was because for the first time a band co-hosted the show with the V.J's. Which band you ask? THE JONAS BROTHERS. That's why there were an excessive amount of teenage girls screeeeeeaming, crying and fainting. Or it could have been because of the line up of guest star appearances and presenters such as,Kim Kardashian, Brody Jenner,Tila Tequila, Taylor Lautner and rockin' performances such as, Nickelback,Alexis on Fire,Classified,Black Eyed Peas,Lady Gaga and Kelly Clarkson! There were also some Canadians like Karl Wolf, Drake, Ivana Santili , Famous, Don Million,JB,Divine Brown and Jessi C from MTV's After Show. An awkward appearance of the night was the obviously stoned Aaron Carter! At first I was like who is this, Simon Camdon from 7th heaven? But nope, it was Nick Carter's lil bro who's drug habits took a toll on his appearance. He could barely SPEAK. The rude bitches of the night were Potato head Rumor Willis who didn't wanna take pictures with anyone. The biggest bitch was the girl Natalie Mejia from the crappy group 'Girlicious'. I knew that girl was a bitch when I asked to take a group photo and put my hand on her shoulder and she told me not to. Oh no you didn't! Anyways, while I was chatting it up with Aaron C, this Natalie bitch comes out of no where and starts yelling at Aaron. I was like A.C...do you know this bitch? He's like I don't even know her and I don't know what she's talking about. I told him to ignore that skank. The celebs were treated to amazing food and gifts in the gift lounge. Anyways, the shows winners included, Nickleback,Danny Fernades,Bedouin Soundclash(who I bonded with especially Jay M ;)), The Midway State,The Black Eyed Peas,Lady Gaga and Billy Talent. KING OF POP IS DEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

On June 25, 2009, the world received some devastating BAD news. The KING of POP also better known as MICHAEL JACKSON died at of a cardiac arrest at 2:26p.m in his home in L.A. M.J was a music legend and icon known and influenced by almost everyone around the world! Everyone was THRILLED when he was preparing for his 50 London tour dates which was supposed to happen in 2 WEEKS on July 13! To most fans it's still a shock M.J is DEAD! Despite his controversies, M.J was the ultimate KING OF POP who influenced almost every musical act such as, Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Britney, Usher and more! Jackson actually left a WILL which included his mother, 3 children and a charity and not his father joe jackson who got his career started. Ouch* Michael Jackson's death continues to be under investigation because his doctor who was the only one with him took A HALF HOUR to call the ambulance! hmmmmmmmmmmmm.....Jackson dying of a cardiac arrest seemed to shock his trainer (the guy who played the original incredible Hulk) he said that when he was trianing Jackon for his tour, even though he was thin, he seemed to be in well shape..........Even after his death, controversy still surrounds Jackson. Sources say he took a lot of prescription drugs and mixed it with alcohol, was manorexic,his kids arn't actually his, and he still owes money to people like the chick who played his girlfriend in the THRILLER video. M.J's body maybe put to rest in Neverland Ranch which, I'm sure he would have loved!

Nevertheless, Michael Jackson will be lived on through his hit music forever!

FAREWELL FARRAH

In the morning of June 25th, 2009, we lost an Angel, Charlies Angel, PlayBoy pin up and actress Farrah Fawcett lost her battle to cancer. She rose to fame in the late 70's on the hit show 'Charlies Angels'. She was nominated for numerous Emmy and Golden Globe awards. She was set to marry actor Ryan O'neal. Farrah and Ryan's troubled son was released from jail to attend his late mother's funeral. Redmond O'Neal who is 24, is on probation for driving under the influence. Redmond was arrested for possession of narcotics while Fawcett was in the hospital. He said he going to work hard on getting sober for his mother. Heaven gained an angel we lost!

Wanna be on TOP? Season 12 Cycle of America's Next Top Model just wrapped up this past week and it was head to head with Allison and Teyona. In was a fierce competition, nevertheless, country New Jersey gyal Teyona, the second black girl to win ATM! Wahoooo! Teyona had a few slips, especially in her cover girl commercial ad but in the end the girl could walk a catwalk take gorgeous pictures and she wanted it MORE!

In our home country, Canada's Next Top Model Season 3 airs in a couple of weeks, Tuesday May 26 at 8p.m hosted by Canada's own JAY MANUEL! I've never really watched Canada's Next Top Model but this time, I'm watching every single episode because my high school friend Tiffany is gonna be on it! Wok it GYAL! THEY DO!

This weekend.........The paparazzi lovin' 'reality show' 'couple', Spence Pratt and Heidi Montag, also known as Speidi have actually tied the knot! The two blondes eloped, got drunk before and got married in Mexico or some place but it wasn't legal! Than they decided to marry again on the season finale of The Hills last season, however, Heidi wanted an actual wedding in a church with their 'friends' and 'family'. And so she did. She got married at a presbytarion church wearing a beautiful wedding dress. So who showed up to the wedding? Suprise Suprise, THE PAPARAZZI, the usual gang Lauren, Steph, Lo, Audrina and who caught the faux bouquet toss? Kristen flippn' Cavalari! Apprently she's gonna be joing the cast of The Hills next season. If only Lauren was still on! Wonder if Heidi's mom showed up? I guess we'll have to tune into The Hills this season becuase the wedding was all filmed for MTV, who showed up late for filming and the wedding.

In more Hills related news, Spencer finally apologized and admitted to spreading the rumours of Lauren and ex-boyfriend faux sex tape.

Indian Slum Princess Rubina Alia, Best known in her role as little Latika in Oscar winning SLUMDOG MILLIONARE is Apprently being illegally sold by her dad who was arrested, investigated and said he can't afford her. He stated that none of the earnings from the hit movie are coming his way and he was framed. WHAT? That's riDICK! That lil girl should be Ballin'! She did WAY MORE acting than Freida Pinto who I could have even played! Rubina's biological mother who abandoned her when she was just 2 and her step-mother got into a huge cat fight over Rubina. Her real mom wants her back but Rubina likes living with her dad. People shouldn't come too fast to blame R.A's father because they don't know the family situation. Her father makes less than $4 an hour!
Rubina's real mom is perhaps using her for her fame! Rubina's family is still upset that they are still living in poverty in the slums. The S.D's film director Danny Boyle is sending out SOCIAL WORKERS ot further investigate! Rubina has a trust fund set up by the director and friends, however, they have to graduate first to recieve the money when they turn 18!
Just don't bring this poor girl to Hollywood! She will mos def go down in the same path as Ms. Lindsay Loca Lohan!

HILLS STAR TAKE OVER MTV

When the season 5 of The Hills premierd a couple of weeks ago on MTV........Lead Star Lauren Conrad came to co host The AFTER SHOW. She's no stranger to The After Show because she's been on a few times and when she does, she attracts A LOT of fans to the MTV studios. Lauren DID confirm that this will be her final season of The Hills. :( She is leaving the show..........and who knows what she'll be up to? Is she that rich that she doesn't care? Well, perhaps she'll make cameo appearances like in an upcoming 'Family Guy' episode. After working on her fashion line and doing some important adjustments to her line 'LC', will be released in Coles stroes in the fall, September. There will lots of shoes and accessories which she LOVES! In her personal life, she is currently daitng that dweeby actor guy Kyle Howard! He's been in such movies as, Orange County, Baby Geniuses and tv shows such as, Friends, What I Like About You and 8 Simple Rules. Lauren doesn't wanna ruin this relationship and he's probably not a fame manwhore so she's leaving him out of the 'scripted' reality show. Lauren is not the Only one leaving, AUDRINA is getting getting her own 'scripted' realit show which will focus on her life and her family. Audrina is has also streamed to 'movies', by playing some bikini whore in the beach movie. 'Into the BLUE'. Please DON'T go see it!

Back to MTV, LO Bosworth, Lauren's BFF, dropped by The After Show to fill in for Jessi and co-host with Dan. She did a great job. She's so cute and quriky and a natural! She's seems so nice! Lo -ve LO ! Hopefully LO will takeover Lauren's star role and continue on with THE HILLS!

MTV THE AFTER SHOW!

So I had the priviledge of being on MTV's The After Show again! So gooooooooooooood. We talked about Lindsay LOCA Lohan. The girl 'broke up' with her 'lesbian luva' PUBLICITY STUNT*cough* D,J Samantha Ronson and feels alone and in her movie, Mean Girls. There was a debate. Dan asked whether we felt sorry for Lindsay. Some friends said yes but I said NO! I honestly liked Lindsay Lohan as an actress before! MEAN GIRLS and Freaky Friday WAHOOOOOOOOO...............BUT..........NOW.................I don't care.......I don't think rehab will help her..I think she needs to find God! Straight goods! Everyone ha problems in her life. Lindsay Lohan is rich......sure money doesn't bring you happiness but you can use that money you have to donate to charity, change the world for the better and make a positive difference in the lives of people who truly need it! In stead she CHOSE to take the wrong route and use her hard earned money on booze, drugs and materialistic thangs. I felt sorry for Lindz before but not anymore ......she had so many priviledges that many people don't! She has so many opportunities. She clearly gets the papz and a lot of media attention, so, she can use her celebrities status to help those in need! I have a problem with the Lohan family in general. The dad is whack who is a scam artist, the mom is partying an drining with the kids and the 14 year old lil sister is acting and looking like she's 20!

I feel bad for children living in poverty who dream to be an actress but don't have opportunities. I feel bad for the diseased and dying, the poor, the homeless! Do I feel bad for Lindsay Lohan, NO!
