ROCK THE BELLS 2008!!
On Sunday July 20th Mississauga tore the roof at Arrow Hall. Hip Hop Heavy weights came together for one of the hottest shows of the year! Supernatural hosted the event with some rhymes of his own. Guerilla Union organized a line up of real hip hop superstars such as, NAS who ruled the show, took some time out to talk to us ladies. Nasty Nas, played his classic and new songs like HERO from his latest album, UNTITLED. Nas had suddenly fallen into pressure to change his album title because the first title was so controversial. Kidz In The Hall also came out to put on a kickin' performance. Reunited at last,Pharcyde and A Tribe Called Quest put on an anticipated hype performance. Before Q-tips performance with Phife, Ali and even Jarobi, Q-tip came on with a napsack, sang his solo hits and promoted his tracks from his latest album, The Renaissance. He was such a vivrant thing. Mos Def, who performed songs off his new cd, The Ecstatic, couldn't stop raving about how great Dave Chapelle is. He had to make us all laugh by doing some classic Dave Chapelle skits. I want to thank Mos Def for also giving me a HEMP shirt! When WU TANG killer bees Method Man and Red Man flew to the stage and out in the crowd, so did we. We were dancing up a storm on stage to the crazy and wild out performance. The dangerous duo Meth and Red told the audience that they are in the process of filming a How High sequel! Rakim spit some lyrical content with veteran DJ KID CAPRI. Backstage we were chillin and partying with the legendary hip hop artists. After the show, we rolled to the Hilton Hotel with Kelvin "Posdnuos" Mercer, David Jude "Trugoy the Dove" Jolicœur and Vincent "Pasemaster Mase" Mason from De La Soul. The three wise men are down to earth. I convinced them to contine the party at Nas's official after party at Circa night club. When we were partying at Circa, Nas didn't end up showing up to his own party. Q-tip and Murs showed. Who else got hot in the club? NELLY came to PARTY PEOPLE! Earlier that day, Nelly performed at z103's Summer Rush with our fav girl, Elise Estrada and other acts we don't care about. Nevertheless, Rock the Bells was one of the livest shows of 2008!
