Spotted: Tonight, I spotted Tanya Kim from CTV's E TALK. She was hammered and was having some holiday fun at the Beaconsfield lounge near Queen Street West, which is just a few stops from the E TALK studio! This gyal loves to party and get her drink on. She is a super cool and down to earth chick. She laughed at the name of my blog. We chatted up for a bit...and she wished me all the best for the NEW YEAR!..I asked her to hook me up with a job at E TALK...obviously, she told me to apply and send my resume like everyone else does. What a random sighting.

Whatever happend to Danny Smith? Does anyone even know who he is? Apparently he told me he gets recognized a lot. I spotted him near Ryerson University campus killin a roach. I was pretty sure it was him so I decided to both him as he was finishing his doobie. I was like hey, YTV It's Alive guy! He was kind of nervous. He probably thought I was a nark. ahahha or he was probably paro and blizted. Needless to say, he CLAIMS he is working on some projects here and there

SNEAK PEAK

PEAK SEASON, which just wrapped up it's first season, is the scripted Canadian version of 'The Hills' filmed in Whistler B.C. I know for a fact it is scripted because my boy was there when they were filming new scenes for next season. He told me they were telling them what to say and do. Listen, MTV if you want an unscripted reality show hit me up. The shpw's premise is basically a bunch B.C and some Aussis'(who visit, study or work there) get drunk like all the TIME, party, bitch and fight.

I'm watching Jersey Shore BITCHES!

So, when promos for this show were airing on MTV, I vowed not to watch it. However, after all the other seasons of the shows I watch were done, I had to see WTF this show is about. And Now, I'm hooked. So sad. ahhahaha Jersey Shore is about a few Italian American guys and girls who move into a house on the Jersey Shore. They call themselves Guidos and Guidettes. The show got controversial and high ratings when Nicole aka 'SNOOKIE' (who's not even Italian) got sucker punched at a bar by a drunk fool!

Actress Brittany Murphy is dead from cardiac arrest. People are saying she took a lot of prescription meds. Her husband has not had sleep since her death. Her husband's mother found Brit collapsed in the bathroom. Murphey was well known for her roles in UpTown Girls, Clueless and 8 Mile, Just Married with her than boyfriend Ashtin Kutcher, The Dead Girl and many others. Brittany Murphy has a new movie coming out in called, Deadline

Where's My Goat?!

BAHHHHHHHHHH....................Filmmaker Christopher Richardson hit up Dundas square with a couple of goats to film bits of his upcoming documentary called, 'Where's My Goat' Richardson buys goats for third world families as thank-you gifts for his commercial clients. It's a fresh approach to promotional giveaways, but as the list of gifted goats grows, some clients question the existence of their goat and whether ethical gifts have the impact Christopher hopes. So Christopher decides to travel to Zambia to track down a client's goat and discover for himself if he is being innovative or naïve. However, this documentary has already caused some problems. While Richardson was answering some question for people about the film, a man from Zambia, Africa who lives in T.O, was confronting him about his motives and whether if he was actually helping families. The man kept saying C.R did not care. Richardson, made great effort to explain himself and stated that the littlest efforts mattered. The man ended up giving Richardson a chance and they shook hands and smiled. I might also make a cameo in the documentary which will air on The Discovery Channel. EDUCATION FOR AFRICA

A couple months ago Ryerson University held a benefit concert in the Ryerson Theatre for a student in need. The concert was called Education for Africa. World Vision was there to support too. There were African drummers and performs such as, Ryerson own talent
Erik Flowchild, former Base is Base now solo singer Evana Santilli( who I was hoping would sing a classic Base is Base track and SHE DID! She re-did 'I CRY' I loved it! Than I wanted more so I shouted out FUNKMOBILE! and she said I was pushing it! ahahah I had to try but I Cry was just as great. Ivana also performed her sexy track 'Whateva You Want' and her New Track, 'Your Girl Tonight' It looks lik Ivana changed up her image from conservative to sexy. Did you know that Ivana went to my rival high school Loretta Abbey? She was really good at playing the trumpet in music class.


Another big performer that night was legendary Dan Hill, who performed his classic hits including Sometimes when we Touch' Dan Hill was deep. He talked about his past, his relationship with his father and how he loves his wife a lot and that they even perform together. Dan is great at telling life stories through his music. He also talked about the history of AfricVille in Nova Scotia. Did you know that Dan Hill wrote 98 degrees romantic hit 'I DO'??, which he also performed that night.

Hot new trini-Canadian HIP HOP rapper JB reppin the hood of Flemo Park is gonna blow up the TORONTO SCENE! As I was interviewing JB, I could see how hungry he was to make his career very successful and make a name for himself in the Canadian and International Music Movement. JB has experienced a lot in his life, even with friends. He has a hot new track called, 'when the beat drop' on flow. It took a lot for JB to get to where he is at now and where he's gonna be with his solo album, My Environment. JB even has a track with THE GAME who he toured with called' Fire in Ya Eyes'. WHO LET THE DOGG OUT?!!!

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOF! The crowd was barking on Tuesday night when dogfather of G funk gansta rap and west coast rapper,producer,actor and occassional sly singer SNOOP DOGG rolled into Circa night club! Snoop Dogg was there to promote his documentary “Down for Life” playing at the Toronto International Film Festival. Snoop was very relaxed and probably very blizted at the club since he STILL smokes blunts despite the news that he quit. Snoop was nice enough to pose with fans for pix but did not get on the mic at all to rap or say wud up. That was kind of dissapointing. Dah well..........Snoop is known as Dr. Dre's most well known project. Nothing can beat Snoop's earlier albums such as his debut album, 'Doggystyle' which produced sick singles such as, "Who Am I (What's My Name?)" and "Gin & Juice." Now Snoop's music is gone way too main stream and less hood fo shizzle ma nizzle! Snoops is really nice and way coooooooooooool. When I chatted with him, he told me he loved Toronto and that he was staying in town for 2 days. Get this people.....SNOOP who's actual name is Cordazar Calvin Broadus, gave me his cali digits!......I know I know he's married and has kids..but it's just to chill.........I will let you know more Snoop details in the future.

TORONTO INTERNATIONAL FILM FEST!

People from around the world hit up T.O for the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival! Fans were on a celebrity spotting craze hitting up all the hot spots in Toronto especially the ritzy Yorkville. As usual Big name stars hit up the red carpet ar various festival screening spots such as The Roy Thompson Hall and Ryerson University! STARS included OPRAH,MATT DAMON,MEGHAN FOX,DREW BARRYMORE,CHRIS ROCK,MARIAH CAREY,PENELOPE CRUZ and so much more! I am very excited to 'PRECIOUS', who's star Mo'Nique has critics raving for an Oscar nomination.

Former Much Music VJ SOOK-YIN LEE even had a movie out called, 'Year of the Carnivore.'

Ryerson Parade and Picnic a SUCCESS!

Once again, Ryerson University students marched down Yonge street on Friday September 11 and over 2,200 people joined in and watched the parade hit up the Toronto Islands. Cameras were flashing everywhere! Tourists loved us! No classes, free admission, free food and drinks, great weather and live acts is a pretty good deal if you ask me! I was given the priviledge of being at the front and leading the parade with the Parade and Picnic banner. Everyone brough their school spirit as usual. The Cliks got the crowd pumped. I was sad to find out my crush K'NAAN had two children, who he brought out on stage. They were sooooooooooo cute but I never knew he had kids! Dang! K'naan will be performing this Saturday da 18th at the Phoenix concert hall! Everyone was looking forward to D.J Girl Talk and he lived up to his anticipation! SEE YOU NEXT YEAR! NEW Sean Kingston and UGO

Sean Kingston teamed up with music artist and rapper Stevano UGO on this social conscious track. Stevano, who now goes by UGO, called me up last week to tell me that he was back in T.O from the south of France in Niece, where he spent sometime working on his new music and where he filmed the music video with Jamaican Fire Burning artist, Kingston. UGO is African American MC and is based out of L.A California! Check out the track 'CHANGE'. I like the song....very catchy and great meaning! GREAT WORK UGO!

People.......you MUST listen to this hot new brown chick..........she's a singer and a songwriter........and her name is Anjulie! She's from OAKVILLE Ontario. She has written songs for artists such as, Kreesha Turner's big hit 'Don't Call Me Baby'. Her songs have been on shows such as 'The Hills' and 'The City'. She has opened up for Jesse McCartney in the U.S. So how did this girl from a small town from a Guyanese background get her big break? Well, she was an intern at a recording studio and than she got fired! Why? Cuz she accepted a lunch offer with Canadian Jon Levine! Was it worth her getting fired? Yes! It's almost back to school and what better way to start FROSH WEEK than to hit up the annual Ryerson University's Parade and Picnic! SUMMER FUN

As the summer comes winding down, a must do is to visit the Metro Toronto ZOOOOOOOOOO!

I had an opportunity to visit the zoo for free last week, as I checked out the sleeping lions and tigers,peacocks,giraffes,zebras and my favourite the MONKEYS who were posing ever so fearce for me! The zoo is 25 bux for adults so take your date, fam or friends with you there!

What else to do this summer? Escape to another province or place like I did when I travelled to the province of Nova Scotia. Perhaps, go golfing like I did this summer which was a lot of fun!

Or, why not organize a scavenger hunt with some friends like seen in this video below where my friends and I were on the pink team. One of the tasks on the list was to create a short music video. Check it out

DANCING WITH C LIST STARS?

Well, I never really watched Dancing With The "Stars," but this season I think I might just tune in. Why? Well, this season's dancers' look like it's gonna be a joke to watch! The list of stars who are gonna dance include;Sabrina the Teenage Witch, Melissa Joan Heart, Kelly Ozzbourne, one hit wonder and grammy award winner, Macy Grey, Donny Osmond, Kathy Ireland and get this, Aaron fuckin Carter! Aaron Carter is currently in T.O probably doing drugs and up to no gooooooood. I'm tuning in just for A.C!

As the summer comes to an end the summer's hottest show of 2009 was ROCK THE BELLS!
Rock the Bells rang into Toronto this year at The Molson Amp on Sunday July 5th! I got a chance to be on stage and view the hottest hip hop show of the summer, which included hip hop heavy weights such as, BIG BOI, NAS(who's EX baby mama singer Kelis gave birth to a baby boy recently). Nas also came out and performed with DAMION MARLEY, who is the son of late Bob Marley. Other hip hope heavy weights included, Big Boi, RAP pioneers EMPD(who asked me for mints before they went on stage),Supernatural,Slaughter House featuring Joe Budden and Royce 5'9, Tech 9 and buddy Kris Kaliko,Krs One(who gave a big shout to our fave female rapper in the T.O Michie Mee. When KRS-One called out her name, she quickly ran onto the stage and gave a big shout out to all the hoods in the GTA! K'naan who was also there performed one of my faves 'ABC'S', brought most his family there. Fame,RZA,and Mos Def who flew from Europe to replace Common. Fame gave us the tour as I was his WIFEY for the night and my friend was our child. At the show, I bumped into section 6 rapper BISHOP, who was checking out the show and chatting it up with me. As usual the Bells were Rocked!
