HOPE FOR HAITI

Last week’s celeb-packed telethon “Canada For Haiti” has raised more than $13.5 million for the poor country Haiti in the capital of Port-au-Prince that was struck by an serious earthquake and after shocks on January 12th. George Stroumboulopoulos host of CBC's The Hour, Cheryl Hickey, host of ET Canada and Ben Mulroney host of E Talk Canada were some of the Canadian personalities who joined together to raise money for a Canada for Haiti Benefit show on Jan. 22, 2010 in Toronto, Canada. The special featured live and pre-recorded pleas for donations from stars including James Cameron, Celine Dion, Michael J. Fox, Rachel McAdams and Nelly Furtado. In addition, my sweetheart K'Naan performed his inspirational hit 'waving flag'. As K'naan says in his lyrics the Haitian people are literally

'struggling, fighting to eat and
We wondering when we’ll be free
So we patiently wait, for that fateful day
It’s not far away, so for now we say
When I get older, I will be stronger

So come on people, help people in need and make a difference in the world. We can do better. Don't wait until disaster happens again to help! Instead of buying coffee everyday, use your change to donate to the people of Haiti who have no light, food, homes and many with no families. Today 90 Haitian orphans arrived in Ottawa to be adopted by Canadian families. More Haitian Orphans are set to arrive in Canada to be adopted.

Chris Jackson coming atcha!

Who is Chris Jackson? No, he's not in any way related to the late Michael Jackson. Nevertheless, he is a Jackson who’s passionate about music and entertainment. After years on the grind Chris is becoming one of the heavy weights in the Canadian music scene because he has put the time in to master his craft and study the greats. On two separate occasions he has had the chance to meet and chat with legendary music producer and one of his influences, The GREAT Quincy JONES!

A few names of some of the artist Chris has had the pleasure of working with or for, either in studio or on stage in the last couple of years include: Neko Case, Malajube, Sloan, Bare Naked Ladies, K’NAAN, Arkells, Metric, Bruce Cockburn, Molly Johnson, Jully Black, K’OS, Devine Brown, Chantel Kreviazuk, Donnie Wahlberg, Joel Plaskett, Alana Bridgewater, Apostle of Hustle, Zaki Ibrahim, Jill Barber, Two Hours Trafic, Shad, Roxanne Potvin, John McDermott, Ron Sexsmith, Zaki Ibrahim and soooooo many more in a wide variety of musical genres.

Currently Chris works for CBC Radio and CBC Sound as a recording engineer and broadcast technician. He is also CEO of EasPark Productions, a recording, production, development and management company. Tequila Tequila is literally the definition of a 'FAME' ATTENTION HO!' The Vietnamese model/singer/television personality will do whatever it takes to extend her 15 minutes of fame. She probably fed drugs to her vulnerable deceased fiances Casey Johnson, who is the heiress of Johnson and Johnson baby products. Casey died last week and instead of mourning Tila loved the paparazzi at her house and continuously tweeted, modeled, posed for pictures and continued to answer questions about herself. This girl makes me sick!

N.E.R.D ALERT

In case you havn't heard.......Rock PUNK hip-hop band, N.E.R.D added a new member recently who lives a few minutes a way from me and hails from PICKERING! BIG TINGS! Her name is RHEA and she auditioned for Pharrell Williams over SKYPE! Now that's HYPE! Rhea has also been seen around with Chris Brown. Stay away girl! She also made her first acting cameo on an episode of the new 90210 as herself. N.E.R.D's new album set to be released this year will be titled'INSTANT GRATIFICATION'Rumour has it that Rhea has been kicked out of the band already due to creative difference but let's hope those are just rumours because that would be soooooooooo NERDY!

The Jonas Brothers are not adding a new member

Just because Kevin Jonas got married recently doesn't mean he's out of the band. The 3 Jo Bro's are still together obvy and not adding former N Sync group member Joey the Fat One. Joey F did however, play photographer at older Jonas's Kevin wedding to long time love Danielle Deleasa. CONGRATS!
What is Joey's connection to the brothers anyway? Or is he actually a photographer now? SO SAD
We'll don't get your hopes up for an N'SYNC reunion because Justin T says that it will NEVER HAPPEN!

THE PEOPLE HAVE VOTED

Vampire Diaries was awarded Favourite NEW show at The People's Choice Awards tonight. However, no one was there to accept the award. The show stars former Degrassi actress our very own Canadian HOTTIE Nina Dobrev who is from T.O. Nina went to the same school I went to for summer school Wexford Collegiate School for the Arts. Singer Fefe Dobson went to the same school. Nina also went to my school Ryerson but than dropped out in 2008 to pursue her acting career. This award should be a great B Day gift for Nina who celebrates her B day in T Minus 3 DAYS!

HERO'S VS VILLAINS

After a decade of great seasons, SURVIVOR IS BACK! This season is gonna be the BEST! I am sure gonna watch it. Past ALL STAR cast members come back for HERO'S vs VILLIANS! My pick is Rupert! I reeeeeeeeeally hope he wins. 3rd times a charm! But, they'll probably vote him off because he's a threat! SOOOOO EXCITED! JUICY!

ABC's The BachelOr kicked off another season this week with a new HUNKY BACHELOR Jake Pavelka, who's a PILOT from Texas! However, J P said TTYN to Tiana, a Canadian gal hailing from Calgary, Alberta and now resides in Van City BC! T told JP that, as soon as she got out of the limo she thought to herself that that man is going to be my husband and he just doesn't know it yet.
Tiana is sad she got kicked out without even getting one rose but she hopes to still find Mr. Right. Hang in there girl!

Remember Sisqo? The song that made ladies start wearing THONGS? The former Dru Hill than solo for a short time star who's real name is Mark Althavean Andrews is now 31 and still dancing. JJ is back on the GH!

Remember dreamy, teen heart throb Johnathan Jackson? He was the original Lucky on the soap opera General Hospital who won a few Day Time Emmy Awards? Well he left the show in 1999 to pursue other acting and music opportunities. Than, they got some other guy who was good looking but just didn't fill JJ's shoes. Well the other Lucky's contract ended and they fired him off the show. So, it was only fitting that they brought back our hunky JJ! SOOOOOO HOOOOOOOT!

Did you know that Johnathan Jackson is married to a women who was also a cast member on GH who is almost 10 years older than him. They married when he was only 19! And they have 2 kids together! WEIRD!
Also, JJ's older bro Richard nobody Jackson was on Saved By The Bell the New Class!
